PLEASE NOTE that should you decide to pay by way of certified check, personal check or money order, should we discover that certain merchandise is out of stock, we will issue a refund check for the balance due after payment has cleared our bank. Please be aware that personal checks will be held for a minimum of seven (7) days to clear our bank. Money orders will clear within one (1) business day. Customers should be aware that we will not place your order until funds have officially cleared our bank. Sorry, but C.O.D.’s or Purchase Orders will not be accepted through our service.
Regardless of how you make payment, please be sure to provide us with the above requested information when ordering through the mail.
ORDER CONFIRMATION: Once we receive the information regarding your order, the next step is for us to confirm availability of the merchandise with the supplier, vendor, or manufacturer along with calculating shipping and handling costs with the manufacturer(s) of the items you wish to purchase. That is, unless the shipping and handling charges have already been calculated in advance. Once all information has been received and before we finalize your order, we will next confirm the order with you by way of e-mail. At that time we will confirm all available information including verifying your name and shipping address, merchandise availability, shipping and handling charges, and your grand total amount.
Please be aware that we will not process and finalize your order until such time as you e-mail us back to confirm all information. Why do you need to confirm your order and personal information? With credit card fraud being a major problem in the world today, this added step in our ordering process is a requirement, mainly for added security and protection to avoid any unauthorized or otherwise fraudulent use of your credit card and/or your PayPal account.
ADDITIONAL ORDERING INFORMATION
*** Some items may require additional shipping charges (animated props in particular).
*** Some of the suppliers and manufactures that we deal with require a minimum dollar amount in order for your order to be processed. Please see the HOW TO ORDER section found in the respective "departments" for further information.
*** All Pennsylvania residents please add 6% state sales tax. Customers paying by way of our PayPal shopping cart system who have a shipping address in the state of Pennsylvania will receive a separate e-mail notification that will provide a quote for state sales tax. This amount will need to be paid before merchandise can be shipped out. Please be aware that there may be other state taxes that need to be added depending upon where in the United States your merchandise will be shipped from. See the HOW TO ORDER sections found in the respective "departments" for further information as a few of the suppliers and manufacturers that we deal with may charge tax in the state where they are located.
Please be sure to read the HOW TO ORDER sections within the "departments" where the merchandise is located to be made aware of delivery times and other important information which may vary depending on the manufacturer. During the most hectic times of the Halloween and Christmas seasons -- usually beginning two (2) to three (3) months before the start of the respective season -- some of the manufacturers may take as little time as 2 weeks to ship your order (after payment has been received and processed) while others may take as much as two (2) months to fill your order. Sorry, but "rush" delivery is often not available during peak seasons. Therefore, it is to your advantage to place your order as soon as possible, especially for custom made "to order" static or animated props.
Once payment has cleared our bank, orders are normally processed within 24-48 hours. Normal delivery times can then range between two (2) and four (4) weeks (possibly more) beginning from the time when your payment has been "received". Delivery time may also vary depending on item availability, whether the merchandise must be custom made "to order", and the time of season. If ordering merchandise within two (2) months before the Halloween or Christmas seasons, delivery times may be increased by one (1) to two (2) weeks. Therefore, it is advised that you send in your order as soon as possible to avoid the seasonal "rush". Merchandise requiring shipment by way of Truck Freight may also extend delivery times.
METHODS OF SHIPMENT
Some orders may ship via UPS ground or FedEx ground while others may ship by way of the U.S. Postal Service. Express delivery is available upon request; however, some manufacturers may not be able to actually "rush" putting together your actual order before they actually ship out your order during peak Halloween and Christmas seasons, especailly since many items must be hand made "to order" and take a specific amount of time to produce and then ship out. Most animated props and all oversized items are shipped to customers via Truck Freight and this may also extend delivery times.
SPECIAL NOTICE: Please be aware that all orders are shipped out with a "tracking number" associated with the package(s) to ensure and verify that your order arrives at its destination. A signature may also be required as further proof of delivery. A verified telephone number may also be requested should the carrier need to contact you regarding your order. These security measures have been established for your protection as well as ours. So if your order was, in fact, delivered or an attempt was made to deliver the package, both the carrier and Haunted Ventures FX will have a record of this information.
SHIPPING COSTS
Shipping and/or freight shipping rates vary depending upon weight of items. Large animated props and oversized items (for instance) may require additional shipping crate costs. All shipping and handling charges are for customers residing in the USA only! Customers residing in Canada, Great Britain, Alaska and Hawaii (see stipulations above) will need to pay an additional amount for shipping and will be notified after your order has been received so that the balance can be paid and your order processed.
CLAIMS
The carrier responsible for the delivery of merchandise is liable for damage or loss in transit. Claims must be filed directly with the carrier who handled the movement of your shipment no later than three (3) days of receipt of merchandise. A second claim must also be sent to Haunted Ventures FX at Info @ HauntedVentures.com no later than three (3) days of receipt of merchandise.
REFUSED SHIPMENTS
It is understood by the customer that by placing an order through our service that due to the nature
of the merchandise being sold, all sales are considered final. Refused orders will not be accepted and
will be returned to the customer at their expense. There are no allowances of any kind given for "made to order" merchandise.
OTHER TERMS OF SALE
Due to the nature of the merchandise sold, the fact that some individuals use costumes (and other items) once and then try to return them, as well as U.S. Department of Health regulations pertaining to the mail order sale of hats, wigs, masks, clothing, etc., all merchandise is sold on an all sales final basis. No exceptions! This will also hold true for other items posted on our web site including static and/or animated props, makeup supplies, instructional books, videos, DVD's, CD's, special order items, hand made "to order" items, sale merchandise, reduced price items, etc. Customers are hereby notified that if they place an order through our service that they automatically agree to abide by all terms and conditions as specified on this web site.
Although "all sales are final" the manufacturers that supply the merchandise to our customers have agreed to "replace" (not refund) defective or damaged merchandise on an "even exchange" basis only. All defective or damaged goods must be returned to the originating supplier or manufacturer. All merchandise that is to be returned must be authorized in advance, and a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number must be provided to the customer before returning merchandise. Customers will be advised via e-mail of the RMA number. It is the customer's responsibility to notify both the shipper of the goods (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.) and Haunted Ventures FX at Info @ HauntedVentures.com to file a claim no later than three (3) days of receipt of merchandise. (The date of receipt of merchandise will be verified through the tracking number or delivery confirmation number associated with the package.) Notification to either the shipper and/or Haunted Ventures FX of defective or damaged goods after the three (3) day period will not be accepted.
Should customers need to return damaged or defective merchandise for "even exchange", we will need to provide you with complete information on how and where to make your return. Packages will be refused (at the customer's expense) if merchandise is returned without first sending us proper notification within the stipulated time period and receiving a reply back from us with the appropriate information which will include a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
WRONG MERCHANDISE RECEIVED
If you order one item but receive a different item, the supplier that sent your merchandise will replace the wrong item with the correct item on an "even exchange" basis only. This is also true if (for instance) you ordered a small size costume but received a large size costume instead. The replacement will be with the original item as it was originally ordered. Please note that this is not the same as if you ordered a small size but it does not fit and you want a larger size. (See ordered wrong size costume below.)
ORDERED WRONG SIZE COSTUME
We cannot guarantee that a particular size costume will fit you. Be absolutely certain that if you tell us that you normally wear a certain size dress, shirt, pants, etc., that it is, in fact, the proper size! The supplier or manufacturer that will be sending your merchandise will not exchange the costume with a different size if they did, in fact, send you what you wanted. A male and female "Sizing Chart" is available, and we will also confirm your proper size by way of e-mail before your order is officially accepted and your merchandise shipped. Also note that If the costume only comes in one size (for example "one size fits most" or “standard adult size”) it cannot be replaced as there is no other size available. "One size fits most" or “standard adult size” is not the same as "one size fits all". If you already have the largest size of a costume and need a larger one we can not replace or exchange it. Likewise, if you already have the smallest size of a costume and need a smaller size we can not replace or exchange that costume either.
A costume may not be exchanged for a different style of costume if the original style does not fit. If it becomes necessary for you to return a costume for "even exchange", any item returned for any reason must be returned in a box. If you return a costume in an envelope (padded or not) both Haunted Ventures FX and our suppliers will not allow the return. And as a reminder, you will need to notify Haunted Ventures FX within the stipulated three (3) day time period following receipt of your package to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number in order to return any and all merchandise.
Haunted Ventures FX as well as the suppliers and manufacturers that we deal with do not guarantee that a particular costume, mask or any other item will be suitable for a particular purpose. Due to the fact that all People are unique in size and shape we can not guarantee that a particular costume or mask will fit a particular person.
ACCEPTANCE OF ORDERS
When a customer places an order either for themselves or on behalf of another individual, business, etc., Haunted Ventures FX will accept the order based on the customer reading and understanding all of the terms of sale found in the HOW TO ORDER sections of our web site (or through any other means provided by us) before placing the actual order. Should the customer have any questions pertaining to any terms of sale as stated either herein, in any individual "department", or likewise through any other means provided by us, it is the sole responsibility of the customer to contact us at Info @ HauntedVentures.com before the order is placed. Haunted Ventures FX will provide the customer via e-mail with various shipping information including (but not limited to) a shipping tracking number (if one is available) thus "confirming" the order with the customer.
Haunted Ventures FX, it's owner, and the various suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers that have their merchandise posted on The Haunter's Depot web site (or through any other means provided by us) will not be held accountable for any unauthorized payments for merchandise made via PayPal, major credit cards, debit cards, e-Checks, personal or business checks, money orders, etc. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to safeguard their PayPal account (including log-in password), credit card, debit card, checking account, banking information and/or e-mail address accounts and log-in passwords from unauthorized use. This stipulation will take priority over any and all agreements that the customer may have made with PayPal, any credit card company, and any banking institution.
PRICES
Our on-line store reflects our prices effective on the original date of posting. We can make no guarantees against price increases (which may change from time to time) or availability of merchandise. Please be aware that once your payment has been received and our suppliers are contacted with your order, all sales then become final and no refunds or credits will be issued. This especially applies to items that are "made to order" and work has already begun on the merchandise ordered. All refunds (if necessary) are usually given within one (1) to two (2) weeks after cancellation but only if orders (or portions of orders) are canceled before merchandise is actually officially ordered through us from the suppliers or manufacturers that we deal with.
CANCELLATION FEE
There is a 15% cancellation fee (calculated on the total amount of the items ordered plus shipping) on orders cancelled after 72 hours of a customer placing an order (excluding "made to order" products which are non-refundable) and if the order has not yet been shipped. The cancellation fee will be waived if the order was cancelled by Haunted Ventures FX due to the possibility of the item(s) in question being out of stock or a manufacturer not being able to produce the merchandise ordered. A cancellation fee or any kind of refund will not be given on "made to order" merchandise that has already been submitted to the manufacturer (per order by the customer) and the they have already purchased materials and begun assembling a customer's order.
COLLECTION FEES
If we must resort to using a collection agency, legal council, or any other proceedings (legal or otherwise) to collect monies owed to us, it is understood and agreed to by you (the customer), that you will be responsible for any and all collections, chargebacks, legal fees, etc.
BACK ORDERS
Back orders will automatically be shipped unless otherwise notified by customer.
LIABILITY
The Haunter's Depot, Haunted Ventures FX and the vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers that have their merchandise posted on our web site (or through any other means provided by us) assume no liability whatsoever for the use or misuse of any product posted on our on-line store or through any other means provided by us. The submission of any order to us through our service automatically constitutes a legally binding agreement that the customer has read and fully understands the information provided.
